One of the quieter but most meaningful outcomes of “Speak Up!” has been the shift in how communities relate to the project itself. In its early stages, finding safe spaces for Child and Youth Group meetings was a real challenge. As families and local leaders came to understand the project’s goals, that began to change.

Community members started offering their own rooms and verandas as meeting spaces, while religious and community leaders in Mahmudpur, Alipur Union, Satkhira opened up local Moktobs for group sessions — making it easier than ever for children and young people to take part.

This growing willingness to open doors reflects deepening trust in the project’s mission. It’s a reminder that sustainable child protection isn’t just delivered — it’s built together, with communities taking active ownership of the spaces where children learn, speak up, and grow.
