As more children and young people in Satkhira turned to the internet for learning and connection, many — along with their parents and teachers — remained unaware of the risks: cyberbullying, online sexual exploitation, fraud, and cybercrime.

To close that gap, Breaking the Silence (BTS) established a CSO Network of 11 local organisations in Satkhira under “Speak Up!”, bringing partners together around a shared child-protection agenda. One standout member, the Satkhira Cyber Crime Alert Team (CCAT), used the network’s capacity-building support to expand its own reach — running awareness sessions in five secondary schools between January and June 2026, covering personal information protection, password security, and how to recognise and report abuse.

“We are proud to be part of the Speak Up! CSO Network,” said Mr. Mahbub of CCAT. “Working together has made our awareness activities more effective and has strengthened our efforts to create a safer digital environment for children.”

The result: a community where more children know how to protect themselves online — and more parents and teachers know how to support them.
