Thirty-eight staff from Breaking the Silence (BTS), Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), and INCIDIN Bangladesh, together with the heads of all three organisations, gathered at the YWCA Conference Room, Mohammadpur, Dhaka on 8 July 2025 for a full-day workshop to draft the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) that will guide the “Speak Up!” project’s three outcomes over the next three years.

The workshop opened with remarks from Nazrul Islam, Country Manager of Terre des Hommes Netherlands, and from the heads of all three partner organisations — A.K.M. Masud Ali of INCIDIN Bangladesh, Roksana Sultana of BTS, and Md. Mubarak, Advisor to ASK. Laila Jasmin, representing the European Union as Special Guest, also addressed participants, sharing guidance on the project’s objectives and the way forward.

Setting the roadmap, outcome by outcome

Project Coordinator Mykal Mondol opened with a full project overview — its results, progress and backlogs as of June 2025, and the EU’s rules and guidelines — before Md. Nurul Kabir, Programme Coordinator for PME & Fundraising, introduced the DIP process itself.

The rest of the day worked through the project’s three outcomes one by one: for each, partners reviewed the results framework, action plan, and targets, discussed implementation strategy, and then split into organisation-specific groups — BTS, ASK, and INCIDIN — to draft their own work plans, targets, and budgets before presenting them back to the room.

The day closed with financial guidance from Sakiba Sultana, Head of Finance and Programme Support, to help partners align their plans with donor requirements.

Next steps

Partners agreed to elaborate each planned activity across 12 points covering strategy, target participation, and methodology, working on this over the following two weeks ahead of a dedicated DIP review workshop. The finalised plan will then be printed and distributed to all partner staff as their guide for implementation.
