Thirty staff from Breaking the Silence (BTS), Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), and INCIDIN Bangladesh gathered at the YWCA Conference Room, Mohammadpur, Dhaka on 3 August 2025 to review the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) drafted for the “Speak Up!” project — the roadmap that will guide the initiative’s three outcomes and seven outputs over the next three years.

Led by Project Coordinator Mykal Mondol, the workshop built directly on a first DIP drafting session held in July, giving partner staff the chance to go through every planned activity in detail and refine it before finalisation.

Outcome by outcome

Each of the project’s three outcomes was reviewed in turn by the partner leading it: Ibne Sayed Md. Noor Zaman, Project Coordinator at BTS, presented and gathered feedback on Outcome 1; Asma Khanom Ruba, Project Coordinator at ASK, led the review of Outcome 2; and Rafiul Ali, Project Coordinator at INCIDIN Bangladesh, presented Outcome 3. For each, participants worked through the accompanying sub-activities point by point, offering feedback to make the plan clearer and more user-friendly for the teams who will carry it out.

Getting the project’s messaging right

The day also turned to how “Speak Up!” presents itself publicly, with sessions reviewing the project’s Visibility and Communication Plan and the key messages for its draft leaflet — ensuring the project’s public-facing materials align as closely as the implementation plan itself.

The workshop closed with remarks from Nazrul Islam, Country Manager of Terre des Hommes Netherlands, who thanked participants for their engagement throughout the day.
