Partners review progress and agree next steps at “Speak Up!” coordination meeting

Representatives of the three organisations implementing the EU-funded “Speak Up!” project—Breaking the Silence (BTS), Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), and INCIDIN Bangladesh—met on 30th October 2025 at Neer Resort and Restaurant, Gazipur, to review progress, share best practices, and agree on concrete next steps for the project.

Led by Project Coordinator Mykal Mondol, the Partners Coordination Meeting followed the previous day’s Programme Accountability Framework Workshop and gave each implementing partner the chance to present their programmatic and financial progress for the year.

Strong progress across all three partners

Nur Zaman, Coordinator of the EU–Speak Up Project at Breaking the Silence, opened the progress-sharing session with a presentation showing an overall progress rate of 86%. Asma Khanam, Coordinator at Ain o Salish Kendra, followed with a progress rate of 69%, reflecting openly on implementation challenges and the corrective measures her organisation has taken. Rafiul Ali, Coordinator at INCIDIN Bangladesh, closed the session with a progress rate of 85% for the first three quarters of 2025, highlighting steady delivery and sound financial management.

Fourteen best practices, seven shared commitments

Using the VIPP (Visualization in Participatory Programmes) method, partners worked together to identify 14 best practices from their implementation experience so far—among them, prioritising children’s opinions and safety at every stage, obtaining guardian consent before involving children in activities, maintaining formal registers for child and youth groups, and ensuring the inclusion of persons with disabilities throughout.

The meeting closed with seven concrete action points agreed by all three partners, including completing a shared feedback response form by mid-November, studying the project’s Detailed Implementation Plan ahead of a quiz at the next coordination meeting, and maintaining participant registers at every event.

Participants reflected on the day’s discussions and reaffirmed their shared commitment to accountability, transparency, and partnership in delivering the “Speak Up!” project’s objectives.
